Challenge
Daily-affirmation apps tend to feel generic — a rotating quote and a robotic voice, disconnected from the person listening. Kalibrate needed to fit an AI generator, voice cloning, progress tracking, and a habit-building ring system into one product without turning it into a cluttered feature list, so we built the experience around a single daily ritual: Home surfaces one featured affirmation, the AI generator reshapes its tone and topic in a couple of taps, a voice-cloning flow lets it play back in the user's own voice, and the "Kalibrate" rings condense listening, learning, and journaling into one glanceable daily goal.

Design Concepts
We explored three emotional directions before landing on Kalibrate's final system. A muted sage-green palette leaned into calm and mental-health associations, paired with concentric rings and dissolving type on the affirmation-playback screen. A light, airy blue direction used soft wave illustrations on a near-white surface to signal balance and openness — a fit for first impressions during onboarding. A warmer peach-to-chocolate gradient carried the most emotional weight, conveying tranquility and resilience, and was tested specifically on the Courses section, where users engage with sensitive topics like anxiety and depression. Each direction kept the same core screens as a testbed, isolating color and mood as the variable rather than layout.

AI Generator
Three generation modes — Reset, Rewrite, Receive — are framed as outcomes rather than settings, like "Change The Narrative" for reworking limiting beliefs, so users pick what they want to feel instead of guessing at a prompt. A free-text field lets them add personal context, while a visible daily generation cap and history icon keep usage transparent and tie naturally into the subscription.

Home
A personalized greeting opens onto today's affirmation card, paired with quick shortcuts into Favorites and the Kalibrate ring so the daily habit starts in one tap. Below it, "For You" and "Recents" surface tailored suggestions and recently played content instead of leaving the user to search for what's next.

Kalibrate
Three concentric rings turn the day's habits — affirmation time, listening, and lessons — into one glanceable shape instead of a checklist, with a task list below spelling out exactly what's left and a settings icon to adjust each goal. From there, a statistics view charts minutes practiced over time and a full calendar lets users jump back to any day or month, turning the daily ritual into a streak worth keeping up.

/
Player
Each session opens on a single theme — "Abundance & Prosperity," one of 12 affirmations in the Reset category — with the current line front and center and the next ones queued below, so the experience feels like a guided track rather than a static quote. One tap into settings swaps the ambient soundtrack (Serene Sounds, Tranquil Tones, and others, each with its own volume control) or the narrating voice — including named voices and an ASMR option — plus a delay between lines, letting the mood of a session change without leaving the player.

Journey
Journey splits self-reflection into three views: a life-balance wheel that visualizes how different areas of life stack up on a given day, a Skills tab where concrete targets — 1,000 minutes listened, 5 affirmations, a 50-day streak — unlock milestone badges like "Awareness" and "Body Scan," and a statistics view that plots life balance as a trend line across the year instead of a single snapshot. Together they answer two different questions: how am I doing today, and am I actually improving.

/
Courses
Courses are organized by topic — Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Relaxation — with each card showing runtime and a graduate count (e.g. "Deprivation and Reduction of Anxiety," 12 min, 10 graduates) right next to save/share actions, so users can gauge commitment and social proof before starting. Once inside, a lesson reuses the same audio-first session player as affirmations — a calming visual, a countdown timer, and skip controls — so a structured course never feels like homework.

Design System
A single typeface, Garnett, carries every weight from body copy to headlines, paired with a deliberately small five-color palette: a warm cream primary, two muted purples for secondary actions and accents, a near-black navy background, and one neutral gray. Kept tight rather than sprawling, the palette lets dozens of very different screens — affirmations, courses, statistics — share one calm, consistent mood without ever feeling clinical.
